SHILLONG: A court of inquiry has been ordered into the death of a Jawan K.P Yadav who died under mysterious circumstances after participating in a scheduled training event at Umroi Cantonment on Friday morning.
Defence PRO Amit Mahajan informed that the jawan returned to his living lines after finishing the training run and later complained of discomfort in his chest following which he was shifted by  his colleagues to the Section Hospital.
On reaching the hospital, the jawan passed away due to suspected cardiac arrest, Mahajan said, adding that the post mortem would confirm the exact cause of death.
Mahajan asserted that the jawan was medically fit and had no established history of any disease.
Sources, however, informed that the jawan who was around 40-45 years old had taken a break during the run but his seniors forced him to continue with the training.
