Multicultural procession held in city

SHILLONG: Members of the Seng Khasi community led a multicultural procession through major locations of the city on occasion of 8th Durga Puja and the ongoing year-long centenary celebration of Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) on Friday morning.
Apart from the Seng Khasi troupe, thousands of members from Barman, Kachari, Punjabi and other ethnic communities participated in the procession which started from BSS Ashram at Jail Road.  Later, around 600 people from economically weaker section of the society were handed out garments by the monks.
