Pala extends help to Nongstoin school

NONGSTOIN: The Laishnong Secondary and U.P. School, Mawlangsu, West Khasi Hills District Nongmynsong on Saturday celebrated its 30th anniversary with students performing various items like cultural dance and song.
Vincent H Pala MP of Shillong Parliamentary was the chief guest and the graced the occasion in the presence of K.P.Pangniang MLA who was the guest of honour.
The school managing committee handed a memorandum to the MP urging him to push the government to sanction the higher secondary level of the school and to set up an MBOSE centre to help those students coming from far flung areas to write their exams in Mawlangsu.
Pala also expressed his appreciation to the founders of the school for imparting basic education to the locals and praised the school teachers and managing board for their untiring efforts in making the school one of the best school in the area.
Pala also assured the school that he will help in extending the school building and also provide 10 computers throght MLA scheme.
