Parents defend Shillong Public School principal, teachers

SHILLONG: A number of parents and guardians of students of Shillong Public School have refuted the allegations of corporal punishment against the school terming it as baseless. In a statement issued to the press, the parents asserted that the allegation of bullying of a class II student is unacceptable. The parents stated that there is nothing adverse found against the principal or teachers and lauded the principal for running the school effectively. The parents of a class II student of the school have sought apology from the principal and two teachers, who allegedly resorted to corporal punishment recently, within three days.
