SHILLONG: Taking note of the complaints about alleged encroachment by defence forces on civilian land, East Khasi Hills DC P.S Dkhar said the government will be apprised of the matter.
Speaking to The Shillong Times, Dkhar said, “An exercise to conduct joint survey by both civil administration and army authorities on defence land will be done to ascertain whether any encroachment has taken place.”
Though the survey date has not been fixed it will be done at the earliest, he said adding that the findings will enable the concerned authorities to access the situation better.
