AIDS awareness programme

SHILLONG: Martin Luther Christian University in collaboration with Meghalaya AIDS Control Society and its NSS Unit, on Wednesday, held an awareness programme where a Red Ribbon Club was launched, along with the registration of voluntary blood donors.
The function was attended by MLCU Vice Chancellor, RG Lyngdoh among others.
The Red Ribbon Club is a comprehensive promotional and preventive intervention to enhance voluntary blood donation as well as mainstream HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support. The club also serves to educate people on treatment impact and allow mitigation and stigma reduction among youth in educational institutions.
