Lone GNLA cadre from NGH dies

RESUBELPARA: The sole GNLA rebel who operated from North Garo Hills district died in an encounter with police on Friday. The rebel who was identified as 22-year-old Bukarston G Momin used to operate the outfit’s social media sites where he regularly uploaded threat messages targeting church leaders for running awareness programmes against GNLA recruitment in remote areas. Momin, who was among the sixth batch of GNLA recruits, was a student of Mendal Don Bosco School and dropped out after Class X. He served a demand note to a businessman in Bajengdoba.
