SHILLONG: The High Court of Meghalaya on Tuesday directed the 58 Gorkha Training Centre (GTC) to place the statement of recruitment for 2014, 2015 and 2016 before the court. The directive came after a petitioner moved the court for being denied appointment despite clearing all the tests and examination on the ground that the State Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, is not recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE). The counsel for the petitioner further contended that other candidates who passed out from the same Board were handed appointment letters. The Court felt that the record of the entire selection process needs to be placed before it for scrutiny. It also said the COBSE should be impleaded as one of the respondents.
