National Unity Day observed

SHILLONG/ NONGSTOIN: NEHU celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as the National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) on Monday. An event of RUN FOR UNITY was organised at the NEHU main Campus on the occasion. Meanwhile, a workshop on the day was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, I. Majaw at Youth Hostel hall, Shillong on Monday where nearly 100 youths participated In Nongstoin, a Run For Peace which was conducted at Nongstoin on Monday at 6:00 AM, where S.Kharlyngdoh (IAS), Deputy Commi-ssioner, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin graced this occasion as the chief guest and also took the lead in reading the pledge which was followed by over 300 participants and officials before the run.
