GHADC fund misuse allegation

TURA: In the backdrop of allegations of fund misappropriation made by certain NGOs against the GHADC, BJP City District President, Bernard N Marak has sought evidence in the form of documents from the CEM to prove otherwise.
In his letter to the GHADC CEM, Denang T Sangma, Marak sought the furnishing of a copy of the complete DPR, information on amount sanctioned for each project, whom the work is allotted to, a copy of the tender, amount sanctioned to contractors among others.
The move by Marak comes after several NGOs from Tura alleged the GHADC Executive Committee of misusing fund amounting to 100.71 crore received from the Centre. Marak urged the CEM to respond to his letter on priority basis so that there is transparency in the utilization of schemes provided by the BJP and to ensure that its name is not tarnished.
