Khasi Learning Centre
Applications have been invited for admission to the second session of the Khasi Learning Centre which will commence from February 4. The last date of receiving the applications is January 14, and the applicants should be above 18 years of age. The Khasi learning course is conducted by the Khasi Humorists’ Society, popularly known as SBUK, on every Saturday at Shillong Law College. Interested candidates can contact 9863023726.
Garment distribution
The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Cherrapunjee, organized the second phase of adult garment distribution programme for the poor and needy of Sohra on November 17. Leader of Opposition and Shella MLA Donkupar Roy was the chief guest on the occasion. Over 450 residents of the area benefitted from the garment distribution programme
Science exhibition
An inter-college Science exhibition will be held at Dinam Hall, Jaiaw at 10 AM on November 18.
Cultural programme
The Shillong Socio-Cultural Assamese Students’ Association will host a cultural programme titled Shorotor Abeli at DKD Hall, Bishnupur from 2 pm onwards on November 20. The Association has requested all members of the society and well wishers to attend the programme.
IGNOU notice
IGNOU Regional Centre, Shillong has informed that students can apply for the term end examination without paying fees/late fees provided they give an undertaking that they will pay the same later. Last date for submitting application forms is November 18.
