One killed as bike collides with car

Resubelpara: A man was died when a motorcycle collided with a speeding four wheeler on NH 51 between Paikan and Bajengdoba on Friday.
The car (ML 08-D-9007) was heading towards Tura and the motorcycle was coming from the opposite direction. The motorcyclist, identified as Haillingstone Marak (35) alias Rakkasing was injured severely, crushing his leg as a result of the collision.
However, the driver of the car received minor injuries.
The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital where he was taken to the emergency ward, but the doctor referred him to Guwahati for further treatment.  Although, the man died on the way at around 1:00 am on Saturday.
The decease hails from Khongkal, PO Meshalkawa, PS Krishnai Goalpara Assam. Marak was survived by wife and 3 children. The OC of the Krishnai PS take up the matter, the owner of the car promised to pay the compensation for the bereaved.
