AR jawan falls to death in Laitlum

SHILLONG: An Army personnel died after accidentally falling into a gorge at Laitlum village on Saturday around 3:15 pm. The Assam Rifles jawan PK Jamatia (38) was on a sightseeing trip in Laitlum when he accidentally fell into a gorge and died, police informed on Monday. Necessary formalities were observed and the cadaver was sent to Shillong civil hospital for post-mortem examination. Matter is under enquiry.
