Cleaning drive
The Dorbar Shnong Nongmensong will be conducting a locality cleaning drive on December 6 from 8 am onwards.
Dorbar Shnong Wahingdoh will conduct a cleaning drive on December 10 from 7 am till 1 pm. Vehicles will not be allowed to park within the vicinity of the localities during the cleaning drive.
Function
The Civil Defence & Home Guards, Meghalaya Department will celebrate its Annual Day on December 6 at the Parade ground of the Civil Defence & Home Guards Complex, Mawdiangdiang.
The 22nd general Assembly of the Seng Bhalang Islam will be held on December 4 at the premises of Deba Kumar Hall, Bishnupur near Sankar Dev College from 12:30 pm to 3: 30 pm.
CPC will hold its valedictory function at Bangiya Sahitya Parisad Auditorium, Jail Road, Shillong on December 4 at 3 p.m. Prizes of the competition organised during last Durga Puja Festival will be awarded to winning Durga Pandals.
Holiday for polls
All State government offices and educational Institutions will be closed on December 13 due to KHADC and JHADC Bye-Election. According to the Order issued, every person employed in any trade, industrial undertaking or any of the establishment governed by N. I. Act, 1881 and a daily wage, casual worker including those working outside the Constituency who are voters under the above Constituencies shall be entitled to the benefit of a paid holiday.
