SHILLONG: The District Election Officer of East Khasi Hills has released the names of the contesting candidates for the bye-election to the KHADC from 8-Nongkrem, 15-Laban-Mawprem and 22-Nongspung-Sohiong District Council Constituencies along with the symbols.
Candidates contesting from Laban-Mawprem are Allowis Dohtdong, Independent (Monolith), Bankhraw Singh Kharbuli of KHNAM (Dao), Banri Kupar Wahlang of HSPDP (Lion), Fedrick Joplang Lyngshiang of the UDP (Drum), Hubert Marbaniang of BJP (Lotus) and Ricky Shullai of the NCP (Clock). Candidates from Nongkrem include Edarstar Lyngdoh Nongbri of the KHNAM (Dao), H S Shylla of the UDP (Drum), Hubert Ford Riang of the HSPDP (Lion), Lamborsing Nongrum of the INC (Hand) and Mamiry Nongkhlaw of the BJP (Lotus).
From Nongspung-Sohiong, the candidates are Kyntiewborlang Syiemlieh of the BJP (Lotus), Nathaniel Osbert Rymmai of the INC (Hand), Pret Mawlong, Independent (Rising Sun), Samlin Malngiang of the HSPDP (Lion) and Wankupar Syiemlieh of the UDP (Drum).
