Goods stolen from Umroi Airport

SHILLONG: Unknown miscreants broke into the Glide Path Building at the Umroi Airport and stole a switch box and copper wires.
As per the police complaint lodged by Sanjay Tyagi, AAI Director of Shillong Airport, the incident happened on December 5 when unknown miscreants broke into the Glide Path Building and stole a switch box and the wires valued around Rs 10,000. When contacted, police said the matter is being investigated.
Though there are security guards at the airport, the area where the incident took place was far from where the personnel were stationed, said Tyagi.
