Fake degree racket busted

SHILLONG: The South West Garo Hills police has busted a fake degree racket at Hat Singimari in South Salmara in Assam.
South West Garo Hills SP Ramesh Singh informed that the arrest of one Nazrul, who had submitted a passport application with fake educational qualifications, led to the busting of the racket. On his leading, a police team raided one Global Computer Training Centre located at Hat Singimari on Wednesday.
Police suspect that the centre was involved in this racket for quite some time. Laptops and other documents were recovered during the raid. A notice to appear before the police was also served to the director of the institution.
