SHILLONG: With the success of the Rilbong Food Festival held on December 3, ‘Magik Cook’, which had put up a stall at the fest venue, organised a thanksgiving function on the Rilbong Club premises on Saturday. The get together organised by Magik Cook inviting the eleven participants of the live cooking contest had the theme ‘Art of food is long, Life is short’.
The live cooking participants will get free supply of Magik Cook products for six months, starting from December.
Anahita Bajoria, Director, Shree Mahabir Foods Limited, invited the participants to bring out their creative expressions about Magik Cook.
“The purpose of organising the get-together with lunch was to celebrate the success of the Food Festival. The aim of the gathering with the members of the Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club and the participants of the cooking competition was also to express gratitude for the support of the Club,” Bajoria said.
A cake was cut to celebrate the occasion and the participants came up with various catch words on Magik Cook. Food-related games were also part of the programme on Saturday. P. Shukla, a student from IHM-Shillong, shared a recipe.
According to Bajoria, president of the Club Manas Chaudhuri recognised Magik Cook and gave a platform to showcase its products. “The motto of Magik Cook is that food is infinite and during the Food Festival on December 3, we being the food processors also brought in a stint of Christmas feel,” Bajoria added.
