NDFB militants killed in encounter

Guwahati: Two hardcore militants belonging to the banned  National  Democratic Front of Bodoland  (Songbijit faction) NDFB (S) were killed in an encounter with a joint team of Army and police inside Kachugaon Reserve  Forest in Kokrajhar district in western Assam in the wee hours on Saturday.
Police officials in Kokrajhar informed that the encounter  started around midnight and lasted till the wee hours.
The militants were taking shelter in a jungle camp which was busted by the security men following the encounter.
The slain militants were identified as Gaurow Narzary and Ronjasula of the banned NDFB(S) group of militants.
The police and the army recovered one AK 47 assault rifle with twenty-one  rounds of ammunition, one pistol with three rounds of ammunition, one magazine, food items, blankets, tarpaulins, mobile phones, Rs 6000 in cash  from the camp of  the NDFB slain  militants.
