SHILLONG: A moderate tremor measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale shook parts of the State on Sunday morning.
Upper Shillong Seismological Centre said the earthquake occurred at 7.27 am with its epicenter in West Khasi Hills.
However, there were no reports of damage or loss of life.
