SHILLONG: The KHADC is waiting for the magisterial probe report on the alleged diversion of funds to the personal accounts of Council functionaries.
When contacted, KHADC chief executive member P.N Syiem said the magisterial inquiry, which was ordered in October, is still on.
The KHADC had constituted a two-member committee – comprising S. Kharsyiemlieh, Judge of the District Council Court, and S.B Laitthma, First Class Magistrate of the District Council Court – to inquire into the alleged misuse of Council funds.
Meanwhile, Syiem added that he would kick start his campaign for change on December 13 from Jirang to address the issues concerning the economically backward section like domestic workers, farmers and labourers, among others.
