SHILLONG: An FIR was filed against the Traffic in charge of Sadar police station PM Syiem at Laban Police Station on Tuesday night by a person who alleged that the cop had assaulted his daughter.
Later, both the parties arrived at a compromise on the matter. Sources informed that the father of a girl from Lumparing, who is a close friend of the cop, had filed the FIR. It is also learnt that the girl was sent for medical examination. Attempts were made to contact East Khasi Hills SP but he could not be reached.
