Career in focus at college event

SHILLONG: The higher secondary section of Shillong College organised an awareness programme on substance abuse as part of its diamond jubilee celebrations. The programme which was organised on Thursday, focused on character building and shaping careers for higher secondary students in the college.  The first session of the programme was on career counselling and the students were given hand-outs detailing the various courses they can opt for after Class XII. The second session dealt with the issue of substance abuse. EKH SP M. Kharkhrang talked about the severity of the substance abuse problem and highlighted the ways to avoid the net. The final session focused on moral counseling.
