Marvelene’s Inn ready to cooperate with police

SHILLONG: The management of Marvelene’s Inn cum Guest House, which is embroiled in a controversy over the alleged trafficking case of a minor girl, said on Sunday it was ready to cooperate with the police in their investigation.
In a statement issued here, Edmund Kharir, the manager for Marvelene’s Inn cum Guest House said the management “condemned” the commission of criminal offence by unscrupulous persons even as it urged the police to investigate the matter properly and book all concerned.
The management also clarified that the Guest House was not in any way connected or involved in the commission of any criminal offence.
The management further urged the media and the public not to tarnish the name of the guest house and the goodwill of the proprietor and his family.
The Inn belongs to the family of Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh.
