Rotary felicitates 100-year-old business houses

SHILLONG: The Annual Vocational Award ceremony of the Rotary Club of Shillong was held on December 16.
The club felicitated business houses in the city which have scripted their success stories in the past 100 years and contributed to the development of Shillong.
Rotary presented the Vocational Awards to seven establishments, of which Ramchander Lakshminarayan, established in 1876, is the oldest followed by Ri Khasi Press (1896). Other recipients of the award were Chapala Book Stall (1936), Lila Brothers (1931), Delhi Mistan Bhandar (1929), S. Sham Singh & Sons (1926) and Mohansons (1907).
The Awards were presented by Abhisek Bhagotia, Commissioner of Taxes.
