Unidentified female patient found dead at MIMHANS

SHILLONG: An unidentified female inmate at MIMHANS, who was admitted in the institute for the last two years, was found dead on Tuesday.
Police said around 5.30 pm on Tuesday, one unidentified female inmate of MIMHANS was found dead at the institute and the matter is being investigated.
Police said the postmortem was conducted on Wednesday and they are waiting for the report.
According to the police, the female inmate was picked up from Police Bazar after the High Court last year directed all deputy commissioners and SPs to ensure that no mentally deranged person was seen abandoned on public places or in other places inviting danger and causing inconvenience to the public.
