SHILLONG: The city police on Friday arrested a pimp from Demthring who also played an important role in the trafficking of the girl at Marvelene’s Inn.
Police arrested the woman identified as Tarisha Mary Kharbamon from her residence in Demthring.
According to police, Mamuni Parveen, who was arrested earlier for using the minor girl for prostitution, and Tarisha were staying in the same building in Demthring.
Police said as per the statement of the minor girl, she was used in the residence of Tarisha on a few occasions.
It is also learnt that Tarisha accompanied the girl when she was taken to the resort on that fateful day.
The arrested woman will be produced before the court on Saturday.
