Pre-Christmas celebrations held

SHILLONG/NONGSTOIN: The Hima Nongstoin land owners, coal traders and producers association celebrated a Pre Christmas party along with three orphanages centre which include Rev. S.Wollington Children’s Home at Nongpyndeng, the Green Pastuer Children Home and St.Peter’s Orphanage at Pyndengrei on Friday.
The programme started at 12:30 PM with distribution of cash donation by the members of the Association to the orphanages and to the founding members of the centre.
Meanwhile, Highwinds Lakeside, Mukhla, West Jaintia Hills organised a pre-Christmas celebration cum free lunch for about 30 children (orphans) from different Children’s Homes in Jaintia Hills District
The Ieng Rasong Sports Social and Cultural Club had also organized a pre-advance Christmas musical concert on December 21 at U Soso Tham auditorium at State Central Library.
Various programmes were organized at the celebration which was witnessed by Ronnie Lyngdoh, Minister Urban Affairs, A.L. Hek, MLA Pynthorbah was also present in the event. It is inform that the organization has also donated some amount for Ri Khasi channel Christmas makeover 2016.
