SHILLONG: Former legislator of Mylliem P M Syiem has expressed concern over the poor condition of roads at Lummawbah and its adjoining areas.
In a letter addressed to PWD Minister Martin Danggo on Friday, Syiem said that PWD, National Highway division is adopting a step motherly stand towards the conditions of roads at Lummawbah.
According to Syiem, the hope of people of Lummawbah to get better roads is dashed even during the Christmas time.
“Lummawbah and its adjoining areas have the worst roads of 2016”, he added.
Syiem urged the Minister to carry out a spot visit to understand the current situation since the public representatives, and the engineers hardly bother to travel through the area.
