Another sent to custody in minor’s trafficking case

SHILLONG: Tarisha Mary Kharbamon, who was arrested by Madanrting police on Friday for her alleged involvement in the trafficking of a minor girl at Marvelene’s Inn, was sent to three days’ police custody on Saturday.
Police had arrested the woman from Demthring on Friday. According to police, Mamuni Parveen, who was arrested earlier for allegedly forcing the girl into prostitution, and Kharbamon stayed in the same building at Demthring.
As per police, Kharbamon accompanied the girl when she was taken to the guest house on the day of the incident.
