Bethany says did not refuse rape victim

SHILLONG: Bethany Hospital on Saturday refuted allegations by TUR that a 17-year-old gang rape victim was denied medical attention. In a statement to the press, director of the hospital J.L Sailo Ryntathiang said he has no knowledge of such an incident in the hospital and that the allegations were false. TUR has decided to file FIRs against Bethany Hospital and Woodland Hospital for refusing medical aid and examination to the victim from Mawryngkneng and will follow up on reports that a similar breach of the law took place in Garo Hills.
