FIRs on minor’s rape reveals more names

SHILLONG: As per police, in the first batch of FIRs, Chairperson, State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Meena Kharkongor said that as per the statement of the14-year-old girl, she was sexually exploited by several persons including  one Hasan (a scrap dealer) who exploited her inside his scrap shop; a Khasi man from Borsora, who exploited her in a hotel at Police Bazar;  one person identified as Hosor (who runs an archery counter), another unidentified person exploited her at Mamoni’s house and one Apu from Jowai. One Sagar also brought an Army man to the house of Mamoni to exploit the victim girl.
In the second FIR, the Chairperson said a statement of the victim girl before the Child Welfare Committee on January 3 revealed that an elderly Khasi man from Dawki, a friend of  Mamoni, had sexually exploited the victim in Mamoni’s house and in the house of one Mary at Demthring on two occasions.
In the third FIR, the Chairperson mentioned that a statement of the victim revealed on January 3 before the Child Welfare Committee, Meghalaya that one person whom she recalled as Prof. Roy had sexual intercourse with her at the house of Mamoni.
The fourth FIR by the Chairperson lodged at Umiam police station said that Mawhati MLA Julius Dorphang, who is also an alleged accused in Madanrting police station case, raped the minor somewhere in Ri Bhoi.
