Body recovered
One Chengsin N Marak of Aigre A’pal village (WGH) lodged a complaint that on January 3, body of his son viz., Domen B Marak was recovered from near the residence of one Sondi N Sangma and suspected him to have murdered the deceased who was reportedly missing since December 23.
One Juvenile attempted to rape a minor
On January 8 morning, one thirteen year old juvenile attempted to rape on nine year old girl at a place called Lumpohkseh, Ionglaw under Raliang OP (WJH).
Motphran shop theft for 3rd time
SHILLONG: Unknown miscreants broke into one of the cell phone stores in Motphran and stole two laptops and 30 mobile handsets.
The owners of Ya Enterprise mobile repairing centre found out about the theft on Monday morning when they opened the shop. This was the third incident of theft in the shop. The owners have filed an FIR at Lumdiengjri Police Station. A police dog squad was brought to the shop on Monday to sniff out evidence.
Girl assaulted by ex-boyfriend
SHILLONG: A girl lodged a complaint that on December 18 at about 4 PM, her ex-boyfriend, one Kalbester Kharbani threatened her with dire consequences and attempted to assault her with a scissor at Nongstoin . On January 5, he went to her house at Nongrim, Upper New Nongstoin (WKH), threatened her with dire consequences and attempted to assault her with a pipe.
Theft incidents
On January 7 at about 8.30 PM, unidentified miscreants (4/5) looted cash Rs. 2,500 and a cell-phone from Dharamvir Kumar Singh at Jail Road, Shillong.
In another incident, one Vijayta Rikhong lodged a complaint that on January 5 night, unknown miscreants broke into her house at Nongrimbah Laitumkhrah, Shillong and stole one laptop computer along with speakers, charger and a bag.
One Alvin Nongrum (45), owner of Rympei Bashai School, lodged a complaint that on January 4, unknown miscreant(s) broke into the school building at Mawiong Pyndengrei, Nongstoin (WKH), opened and damaged one steel wardrobe and stole materials valued around Rs. 30,000.
Ram Prasad Saha lodged a complaint that on December 28 night, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-08E-6257) from Meghalaya Fire & Emergency Services Compound, Dalu (WGH).
Yet, in another incident, one Md. Sanowar Hossain Sarkar lodged a complaint that on December 25 night, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-08C-8368) from Hayat Market, Phulbari (WGH).
Carkin Phawa lodged a complaint that on January 5, one Thri Sungoh, criminally trespassed into his residence at Sabahmuswang village (WJH), damaged the doors, windows, etc., and stole household items valued around Rs. 30,000.
Threats
Gojendro J Sangma of Khonjoy village (SWKH) lodged a complaint that on January 3 at about 11.30 PM, unidentified persons threatened one Lewith Ch Marak and his wife with dire consequences.
One Derendro G Sangma of Khonjoy village (SWKH) lodged a complaint that on January 3 at about 11.30 PM, unidentified persons threatened him with dire consequences.
Kedin N Sangma lodged a complaint that on December 20, one Brender G Momin threatened him with dire consequences at Dangkong Doragre village (EGH).
Fire incident
On January 2 at about 11.30 AM, one Sajal Das sustained injuries due to bursting of automobile battery while he was working in his garage at Lad Lamara Cement Bazar (EJH). He was shifted to CHC Sutnga for treatment.
Accidents
On January 7, one Rohinath Borchung lodged a complaint that on December 25 at about 4 PM, a bus (AS-18C-6840) dashed against one bicycle ridden by Keren Rabha at Bokadol village (WGH). As a result, the bicycle rider sustained injuries and was shifted to PHC Tikrikilla from where he was referred to CH Goalpara and later to Guwahati Medical College, Assam.
