SHILLONG: A four year old died when a truck knocked him down in South West Garo Hills.
Police said that the incident happened on January 9 at about 3 pm, when one truck (ML-08B-3405) belonging to BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd., driven by Jai Karan Singh (48) knocked down a minor, Stone Ch Sangma (4) at Tekri near Gopinathkilla road in South West Garo Hills.
In the incident, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Mahendraganj and later to Civil Hospital Tura, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police arrested the driver.
