Sonowal urges youths to be inspired by Vivekananda’s ideals

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday vowed to set up skill development centres in all blocks of Assam to give to boost to youth empowerment in line with Swami Vivekananda’s dream of harnessing youth power for a strong and powerful nation.
Declaring this at a function to commemorate the 154th birth day of Swami Vivekananda at Nagaon, Sonowal said the proposed skill development centres will be catalyst for channelizing youth power for constructive purposes which will be a fitting tribute to a man who projected the cultural and spiritual power of India at the international fora on an impressive and strong note.
Sonowal said, “PM  Modi set a mission for everybody to make India a world leader and by following the teachings of Swami Vivekananda we can reach the mission emphatically. Today is National Youth Day, a day dedicated to acknowledge and reinforce the indomitable power of our youths, who by following the path shown by Swamiji can make a significant contribution in nation building.”
To give youth power a chance, Sonowal also announced to set up separate Department for skill development. Sonowal outlined the need of scientific approach for harnessing resources of Assam and make the State a glittering example of development which should take place in perfect harmony with nature.
Sonowal further added that a clean environment gives rise to strong body, mind and soul and asked everybody to accord importance to Swachhata Abhiyan and resort to yoga and be a proud possessor of perfect combination of body, mind and soul. (UNI)
