SHILLONG: Tura MP Conrad Sangma said action should be taken against whoever, irrespective of his position, is involved in the rape of a minor girl in the city. Speaking to The Shillong Times on Saturday, Sangma    said law should take its own course and those who are guilty should be brought to book.
He also said if evidence shows that the Home Minister is involved in the rape and trafficking incident, he should be relieved from his portfolio.
However, he was quick to add that it would be unfair to remove the Home Minister from his portfolio because he owns the building where the illegal activity took place.
“If there is any evidence that he has links with the illegal activities going on in the building that he owns then he should be removed,” Sangma said.
