Anganwadi workers cancel protest plan

SHILLONG:  The Director of Social Welfare has informed that the All Garo Hills Anganwadi Workers Association, which decided to go on indefinite strike from January 20 in protest against non-payment of salary since August last, has dropped the plan after a meeting held at Tura DRDA Hall with the officials of the Social Welfare Department on Wednesday.
