NONGPOH: The North Khasi Hills unit of the Khasi Students Union on Wednesday demanded implementation of the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act, 2016, in Ri Bhoi.
Members of the Union met Ri Bhoi Deputy Commissioner C.P Gotmare on Wednesday in this regard.
The state government tabled the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Bill last year in the State Assembly. The Bill was to prevent illegal entry of immigrants into the State.
