TURA: The Garo Hills Motor Workers’ Union has resolved to not let commercial vehicles ply towards Dalu, Chokpot and Baghmara following the kidnapping of one of its members and three others by suspected ASAK militants on Sunday morning.
The union has sought assurance from the government to ensure safety of its members. The union has also urged the kidnappers to release the four hostages within two days.
“The kidnapped persons must be released within two days or else we will not run our vehicles,” the union said.
