SHILLONG: During the Republic Day celebration on Thursday, announcement was made for the Governor’s Police Award, Police Medal for Meritorious Service and Award of the Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service 2017.
Governor’s Police Award will be given to Mukesh Kumar Singh, Special Superintendent of Police, West Garo Hills, Lakador Syiem, Deputy Superintendent of Police, PTS, Shillong, Pherbak Sing Marwein, Inspector, Crime Branch, Ri Bhoi. Dinobondhu Barman, Sub Inspector, Bajengdoba, North Garo Hills, Kamlesh Prasad Singh, Sub Inspector, I/c Pasteur Beat House, East Khasi Hills, Tony N. Sangma, UBSI, Williamngar, Jiuster K. Sangma, Bn. Constable, Williamnagar, Darius Lyngdoh, Leading Firemen, Mawkyrwat, Aibanjob Nongrum, Bn. Constable Williamnagar and  Danny Sing Kharbani, UB Constable, SP Office, Shillong.
The Police Medal for Meritorious Service was awarded to Khek Lyngdoh, Havildar, Special Force-10 (SF-10), Jonas Maring, Havildar, Special Force-10 (SF-10), Robin Makri, Havildar, 1st MLP Bn.
The awardees of Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service are Detrick Diengdoh, Havildar, Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards and Hendro Shabong, Havildar, Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards.
