SHILLONG: The UDP youth wing Laitumkhrah-Malki constituency has expressed shock with disbelief the statement of the Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Congress President  Joplin Scott Shylla, who blindly stood by the ‘tainted’ Home Minister, H.D.R. Lyngdoh, that there was no reason for him to step down as he was innocent, despite his undeniable involvement in the molestation case of a minor victim, by several persons and for several days in his Rilbong guest house.
K.Hek, President, Youth Wing said that  Joplin’s blind support will only give her Congress leaders more teeth to commit such crimes.
Condemning the statement of Joplin as irresponsible and most shameful, Hek said,”May  God help the future of our youth in Meghalaya”.
