Assault
On February 3, at about 8.20 pm, one Steven Khongsit (26) was assaulted by his brother-in-law nicknamed ED in his residence at Umpling, causing injuries to him. The victim was removed to NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.
Extortion
Garo Students Union, Mindikgre Regional Unit has filed an FIR against one Handerson Momin for allegedly extorting money along with his gang members in the name of Nokmas of Tenakgre, and many from the traders. GSU also alleged in the FIR that if anyone refuse to pay the money, than they are being threatened in the name of ASAK militants.
