TURA: The GSU in South Garo Hills has said delay in initiating repair of NH-62, especially the stretches between Siju and Karukol and Sibbari and Angratoli is increasing the problems of commuters.
GSU president Chuba Marak said the chief engineer of the NH division has claimed that work orders for the repair of Siju-Karukol have already been allotted to contractors but the latter are delaying it.
Marak said he was informed that work orders for the repair of Angratoli Reserve Road, the worst stretch of the highway, had also been allotted.
