Shillong Performing Arts fest from Feb 10

SHILLONG: On behalf of the Department Arts and Culture, the Springboard Surprises will organise the event “Last Bus Adventure, the Shillong Performing Arts Festival” 2017, on February 10 and 11 at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong.
The gates will open at 5.30pm and the event will start at 6pm.
No entry is permitted after the event starts, the organisers said.
On February 10, the – Soulmate will present ‘History of the Blues’.
In a statement, the Springboard Surprises said that the presentation of ‘History of the Blues’ is an attempt to tell the story of this great and important musical genre through a musical interpretation of the same.
This includes a one and half hour performance by the Blues band Soulmate.
Soulmate will take one through a scintillating journey in time, starting from the beginning of the Blues till its presence in today’s world of music.
On February 11, there will be the ‘Performance Arts Collective’.
The Performers and Performances are Andreas Ceska featuring Pratyek: Uni Cycle, Mime, Juggling,  Plate Spinning and Diablo, Surjit Nongmeikapam Dance Company / Nachom Arts Foundation, Kaleidoscopic Arts Theatre Company,   Live Artist Randell Nongkhlaw, Magician John Lanong, MLCU Music Performance,   KC Lights – Puppetry, Flash mob, Beat Boxing, Music, and Stand Up Comedian.
The event hosts are Robert Bob Lyngdoh and Sambormi Lyngdoh.
The organisers of the festival said that the entry to the event is by invitation.
