SHILLONG: A lookout notice was issued by the police on Wednesday against absconding teacher Konesshon Rodborn who has been accused of raping and blackmailing a student of Tlong Umiam Secondary School at Weilyngkut, Sohiong.
Meanwhile, the Sohiong Mahila Block Congress Committee held a black-flag demonstration on the school premises demanding the removal of the teacher. It also urged police to arrest the culprit at the earliest, besides seeking the intervention of Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh and Sohiong MDC S Malniang to punish the guilty. SMBCC members also called on the victim and her family. They claimed that as per the victim’s X-ray report she had fought back resisting the rape attempt.
