TURA: The east zone Garo Students’ Union has written to Education Minister and local MLA Deborah C. Marak questioning the delay in appointment of a teacher for a primary school in Songsak region despite previous complaints in this regard.
GSU said the post of assistant teacher at Ariragre Lower Primary School has been lying vacant since the previous year.
“No appointment has been made despite repeated complaints by us,” said the union in their petition to the minister.
The students’ body is also demanding a replacement for the current block mission coordinator of Songsak alleging that people are facing difficulties.
