City-based medical department helps poor

SHILLONG: In a noble gesture by a city based charitable organisation, Kamakhyalal Bajoria Charitable Trust, aided the opening of a new medical department for public good which has benefitted patients, especially from economically weaker section as the medical unit provides yeoman service.
The Trust financed the new pathology department at the medical unit of Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS), Pranavananda Sevaniketan, which was inaugurated at its Ashram in Jail Road on the occasion of Maghi Poornima and 122nd birth anniversary of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj, founder of BSS, a worldwide philanthropic organisation.
Patients are regularly referred to Pranavananda Sevaniketan for its medical facilities and assistance.
