SHILLONG: The MIYF Federal Body has informed the members and volunteers of the Federation in Ri Bhoi District that the general meeting of the MIYF Ri Bhoi District will be held at Nongpoh on February 21 at 11:30am.
The meeting was convened to elect the new office bearers of the MIYF Ri Bhoi District, and to discuss the issues affecting the original inhabitants of the area.
The Federation also took a decision to suspend the District unit and terminated the appointment of its Adhoc President Johnyson Sohktung alias Thangkhiew from February 6.
“Anyone misusing the name of the Federation may face dire consequences”, the MIYF said in a statement.
The Federation also asked the members of units, sub circles and circles of the MIYF Ri Bhoi District to attend the meeting
