One-day training on disaster management

Resubelpara: A one-day training on earthquake risk and flood mitigation management was held at the Resubelpara Block Office on Friday.
The programme was organised by the District Disaster Management Authority, North Garo Hills, which was attended by district heads and other representatives of the area.  Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner S.C Sadhu asked citizens and government officials to extend their helping hand in time of a real calamity.
The resource persons were P.K Boro, additional DC, and Pier Anjeli R Marak, DDMO. A power point presentation of various measures to be taken before and after the disaster was presented. The Civil Defence and State Disaster Response Force, along with a medical team, demonstrated the various measures.
