Negligence driving claims two lives in JH

JOWAI: A driver and a pedestrian died at Mookhep village along NH-44 in East Jaintia Hills on Sunday.The driver, identified as Bennison Lapasam (22) fatally knocked down the pedestrian, while on its way from Ladrymbai to Wapungskur. The Pedestrian is yet to be identified. The Gypsy jumped into a wall and fell into a 7 feet deep gorge killing Lapasam. It is a case of negligence and rash driving, the police said.
